Children's Hospital Butterfly Run 2022
Did you know it takes most caterpillars just 2 weeks to become a butterfly? You don’t have to wait that long to spread your wings for the 2022 Children’s Hospital Butterfly Run. Registration is open now for the 5k, 10k and fun walk. All proceeds help East Tennessee Children’s Hospital continue our 85-year mission to keep kids healthy.
About the Run
The Butterfly Run has a distance for every runner at every age or level. Participants select a level of participation—they can choose the 5K, the 10K, the family fun run & walk, or even pick one of two other options—run on your own time “virtually,” or you can sleep-in and forgo the running all together. Regardless of your preference, every mile completed and every dollar raised means thousands of East Tennessee children receive the health care they need.
Awards will be given out in a variety of categories in both the 5k and 10k events for both male and female. Cash prizes will be given out to overall winner in 5k and 10k events, both male and female as well as masters, grandmasters, and veterans. Also this year we will be giving out $50 cash to the 100th finisher in both the 5k and 10k event. Age division awards will also be given. Please note you are not eligible for any award if you participate in the virtual 5k or 10k event. In addition the participants in the fun walk are not eligible for awards. Awards will take place after the race under the Worlds Fair Park Amphitheater. Awards will not be mailed.
To Benefit
This year’s run benefits the Pain and Palliative Care program at Children’s Hospital. Dealing with a child's medical condition is tough, which is why pain and palliative care helps relieve the symptoms of a condition, rather than the condition itself. Our Pain and Palliative care team help patients improve their quality of life during their battle with their illness.
