The state under Executive Order # 74 has rescinded the Phase 1 guidelines which limited participation in group events to 10 people or less. Executive Order # 74 will expire at 11:59 pm CST on February 27, 2021.
The State of Tennessee has essentially relegated to the individual county governments within the state the responsibility to establish local Covid-19 guidelines that will apply to their particular county.
Knox County in conjunction with the Knox County Health Department reverted to Covid-19 guidelines for phase 1 as of December 3, 2020. Basically, under the phase 1 guidelines in Knox County, we are limited to no more than 10 participants in a group at any given time. In other words, if an event has 100 participants, they would need to start in waves of no more than 10 participants. In the City of Knoxville running events are limited to 250 participants which will be required to start in waves of 10 participants spaced 5 minutes apart.
For all Running Events, Total Race Solutions will follow local, state, and federal Covid-19 Guidelines to the best of our ability and understanding.
