Course Info: Starts and finishes at Regal Cinemas Pinnacle Stadium 18 at Turkey Creek. USATF certification #TN11028MS. There will be chip timing. The course is relatively flat and runs through quiet neighborhoods behind Turkey Creek Development. WALKERS WELCOME! The theme is SUPERHEROES for kids and superhero attire is encouraged but not required. Prizes for best individual and best team costume, as well as largest team.
Registration Fees: Runners may pre-register or sign up the morning of the race from 7:00 until 7:30 a.m. at the Pinnacle Stadium parking lot. 5K Run/Walk Pre-registration fee (by August 26th) $25.00. After August 26th, including day of race, registration is $30.00. 1 Mile Fun Walk registration fee $15.00.
Race Shirts and Packets: Pre-reg. runners receive shirts and goodie bags with packet pick up. Must be registered by 8/26/2016 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. After 8/26/2016, as supplies last. Race Packets can be picked up with your lat minute racing gear at Fleet Feet Sports Knoxville, Turkey Creek location, on September 8th from 12 to 7:00. Awards/prizes to the 1st Overall, 1st Masters (40+), 1st Grandmasters (50+), 1st Veterans (60+)male and female. Overall winners are not eligible for age division awards. Medals go to the top two male and female age group finishers for the 5K in each of the following divisions: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+. Prize also awarded to Team with Largest Number of participants and Best Costume Team and Individual. "Medals are being donated by Buie Pottery of Gatlinburg."
We have more than a $1,000 worth of great gift certificates that we will be awarding to top finishers as well as door prizes!
