Timing Services

TRS can assist with as much of your event needs as you desire, including assistance with race planning, event promotion, course design and management, event registration, volunteer training and supervision, packet pickup, finish line management, computerized timing and results, and all race day event management. We can also furnish the equipment that you will need to stage your event. You decide how we can assist you to produce a successful event.

Available pre race services include:
Race planning including meeting with race personnel
Assistance in securing insurance, permits, course certification, and event sanctions
Assistance with procuring awards, race shirts, etc
Assistance defining volunteer positions based on event requirements
Assistance coordinating and assigning key volunteer personnel
Assistance with distribution of race brochures and entry forms
Receiving and processing registration entry forms if required This includes building a participant
data base and coordinating entry fee deposits.

For event timing, TRS utilizes state of the art Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology from DAG-System which is a part of the French Company Pygmalyon. TRS uses this technology to gather times from the start/finish line or any other point on the course where a participant’s time in relation to that point is needed. The major advantage of RFID Timing is its extreme accuracy and ease of use. The DAG-System RFID Chip that TRS uses is attached to the participant’s bib and is disposable. There is no need for the participant to attach anything to their ankle or shoe and there is no need for finish line personnel to collect the chip after the participant crosses the finish line. With the disposable system from DAG, each participant is scanned again as they exit the finish chute to achieve a 100% backup detection rate for each finisher. Also, because the chip is attached to the participant’s bib, distribution is simplified for the participant and the registration personnel. At the finish line, there are no mats to cross, the participants simply run through a overhead gate and proceed out of the finish line corral.

Other equipment such as sound, extra clocks, start/finish line stanchions, etc is available.

Our fees are determined by the services and equipment required and by the number of participants involved in a particular event.
