DESCRIPTION:
The 2020 Clinton 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run will be a virtual race this year and we want you to join us! Health and wellness in the Clinton community is a priority and we won't let a pandemic get in our way of assisting area schools in providing their students with healthy activities and fitness equipment.How does a virtual race work? Within the dates of October 3-24, run or walk the 5K (3.1 miles) or the 1 Mile Fun Run at your own pace anywhere you choose. Then login to www.runsignup.com/clinton5k/ to submit your run/walk time to share with fellow participants and encourage others (or keep your time to yourself - we won't judge!).
What do I get? Along with the wonderful feeling of accomplishment, you will receive an awesome Clinton 5K race shirt featuring our very own Clinton water tower logo and a Clinton 5K logo buff! This buff is stylish and super handy to have right now, as it works great as an impromptu face mask option.
We hope you join us and keep this annual tradition of health and wellness alive in our community. We plan to see you in person next year!
STEPS:
1). Register online for the Virtual 5K or 1 Mile Fun Run at https://runsignup.com/clinton5k/.
2). Run/walk your 5K or 1 mile distance anytime between when you register and October 24.
3). Record your run/walk by using Strava, Garmin, iWatch, Fit Bit or any other method (or don't record your time at all - results are for entertainment purposes only!)
4). (OPTIONAL) Submit your results online and see how you compare to others.
5). (OPTIONAL) Take a selfie after you've completed your virtual race, write about your experience and share it on social media using the hashtag #Clinton5k for your chance to win an awesome door prize of a Flat Screen TV!
COST:
Virtual 5K Run - $30 (plus $3.00 sign up fee) for Adults age 19 years of age and above.
Virtual 5K Run - $15 (plus $3.00 sign up fee) for Youth age 18 years of age and below.
Virtual 1 Mile Fun Run - $30 (plus $3.00 sign up fee) for Adults age 15 years of age and above.
Virtual 1 Mile Fun Run - $15 (plus $3.00 sign up fee) for Youth age 14 years of age and below.
Sleeping but Supporting - $25 (plus $3.00 sign up fee) for all ages.

Event "Buff" Face Covering** Everyone registered by October 15 will be guaranteed a race shirt and runners buff. Everyone registering after October 15 will be provided a shirt and buff based on remaining supplies and sizes.
LOCATION SUGGESTIONS:
JayCee Park (Clinton, TN)
The Jaycee Park is located off N. Charles G. Seivers Blvd with parking access at 304 Nave Street. The park offers a paved trail that measures 0.9 miles.Melton Hill Greenway (Oak Ridge, TN)
The Melton Hill Greenway is a paved path located in Oak Ridge and has mile markers placed at every mile. There are numerous parking and access points along Melton Lake Drive.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR RESULTS:
Visit the Clinton 5K race page at https://runsignup.com/clinton5k/ and make sure you are logged in.
Locate the "Results" tab at the top of the menu.
Click the "Submit Virtual Results" button.
Next search for your registration either by first and last name or by email address and date of birth.
Once you have found your registration, select "Submit Virtual Results" and enter your finish time.
PACKET PICKUP:
Since this is a virtual event, there is NO mail/shipping option. T-Shirt and Buff Giveaways will be local only and available for pick-up during the week of the event at multiple locations. Drive Thru Race Packet Pick-Up located at Clinton City Schools Central Office, 212 N. Hicks Street, Clinton, TN 37716 during the following dates/times:Wednesday, October 21 from 5-7PM*
Thursday, October 22 from 5-7PM*
Friday, October 23 from 5-7PM**The above dates/times and location listed above are subject to change.
If you are unable to make a drive thru packet pick-up or you live out of state – we can ship! Simply contact the race director at info@clinton5k.com and your items will be mailed directly to you for a $3 shipping fee per registrant.
