5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk 

2nd Event of the 2018 Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running  1st Event Spring Sprint April 14  3rd Event Reindeer Run December 2 Those participating in ALL THREE events will be eligible for Triple Crown cash awards, door prizes and a special memento. If you are unable to participate in ALL THREE events, you still have a chance at winning the great Triple Crown door prizes worth a minimum of $100 each if you participate in the Reindeer Run and at least one of the other two Triple Crown events. You are eligible whether you participate in the 5K Run or the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.

The Scholars Run will be staged Saturday, August 4, 2018 - Physical Education Building on the Maryville College Campus


CHECK-IN: 6:45-7:30 a.m. the day of race


THE COURSE: 5K Course includes area city streets. Split times will be provided at each mile. The 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run is situated entirely on the Maryville College campus.


RACE TIME: 8 a.m. – 5K Run
8:45 a.m. 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

T-SHIRTS: All participants will receive an attractive, high-quality short sleeved unisex shirt! Shirt size guaranteed to those who register before July 27. Anyone registering after July 27 will receive shirts while supplies last. The shirt order will be placed on July 30 and when the inventory runs out in the RunSignUp system then there will be no more shirts. No re-orders.

AWARDS/PRIZES: An awards ceremony will be held on-site immediately following the race (approximately 9 a.m.). Special awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group and to the male/female Overall and Masters winners in the 5K. All Fun Run/Walk participants will receive a participation gift. All race participants will be eligible for free door prize drawings which will take place immediately following the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Recognition will be given to the top corporate/school groups.

GENERAL INFORMATION: No baby strollers, bicycles, roller blades or dogs are allowed to be used by any participant during the race. The use of headsets is not recommended due to traffic on race route.

Refreshments: post race refreshments will be served immediately following the race for all registered participants.
